The color green comes from the middle part of the light spectrum (510 nm) and you can make it by mixing blue en yellow together. Strongly associated with grass, leaves and nature in general it makes a lot of people feel calm, relaxed and safe when looking at this color. You may have heard of the “green room”, a room where guest wait before they go on tv, it’s meant to ease people until showtime.

In art green is used in painting landscapes and things that are natural this color, also to give a nice contrast against red. When painting human skin some paint over a green base or use it as one of the tones to give it the depth real skin has.
