GRAFFITI TOWN – Doel (Belgium)

Doel (Belgium) is a ghost town. People started to move away when it became known that the harbor of Antwerp was going to be enlarged and it would take the place of the town. In the 1970’s it was the home of 1300 inhabitants, now about 28.

This almost desolate place is in hands of graffitist, vandals and for a short time squatters. Everywhere you look there are empty houses, broken windows and graffiti.

There are 2 nice restaurants for lunch and coffee so it’s a great place to have a photo day.
