Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939) was a Czech artist known for his French Art Nouveau styled posters. You can recognize them by the use of fluent natural shapes and themes like flowers and plants combined with beautiful women.
Mucha wanted to make art more accessible for ordinary people and believed the quality of live could be improved with beauty.
Together with the French company F. Champenois Imprimeur-Editeur he designed commercial posters selling products like chocolate, bicycles, beer and much more.
