GONE SWIMMING

Police Station Doelwater (Rotterdam, the Netherlands) was built in 1935-1938 bij city architect Van der Steur. He used a combination of concrete, brick and granite. The building survived the World War 2 bombing of Rotterdam’s city center.

In 1988 Maarten Struijs started with the expansion, which included the new entrance and the green tiles. After this the police station got the nickname “the swimming pool”.
