GUIDING LIGHT

The red lighthouse on the island Texel (the Netherlands) was designed by Quirinus Harder and build in 1863-1864. It was destroyed in World War 2 (1945) and rebuilt 3 years later.

The tower stands 34.7 meters tall, has 8 floors and it takes 153 steps to reach the top.
